I understand some people may have problems viewing the TGB SMU Concept pictures above. My apologies. I have also uploaded to the media gallery for your viewing pleasure. Cheers.

The thing that strikes me is how good the TGB logo looks-The Austrian site 'Keepersport' do quite a few SMU's and put their logo on the wrist-strap;doesn't look as good as TGB!

Re: Major Announcement - 2008/09 TGB SMU Glove

The branding of anything is really important as it often influences from first impressions to trust and how people respond to anything that brand does. We have a very simple brand, but its effective and works well. The other thing we try and do is control where our brand appears, the TGB logo will only appear on products that we know are high quality and closely associated with us.

I think alot of the new goalkeeping brands that appear could do with spending a little more time developing their brand - not just the logo, but the whole ethos behind the brand too.

Yes, I'm going with Concept 2 also. But both are great looking gloves. Congrats to the TGB team and to Selsport on this year's SMU.

I wonder when can I ( can we) expect an NC or half NC cut or even surround-cut glove as The Glove Bag SMU ... I know we few are a small minority but big trends always start like this ! ... Wink  Cool

Keep up the good work, Simon and all the lads at TGB, we sure are proud of you guys !

Thanks for the feedback Ramas, we're definately looking at adding an additional option alongside the main SMU for next season. Until then we've looked at all the discussion, opinions and poll results on here and come up with a couple of concepts that meet the needs of the majority of members.

I think at 93% verses 7% then we might be able to close it a little sooner than anticipated Smile

Concept 2. They both look very, very good though. Excellent work boys! I'm oging ot be sending in an order for them as soon as they're released.

Goalkeeping is not a position on the field, it is a way of life, it is an attitude on and off the field.

Information on the latex to be used on the SMU ... apologies for the delay.

The Interna latex is a 3mm ultra supa soft with 2mm ribbed internal latex.

Ultra Supa soft. Is that the same latex used on the Absorb Classic?

If all goes to plan D, then the planned release date is late September/Early October.

I'm a big, big fan of Selsport's Ultra SS, as found on the Phantom, which has performed excellently for me.
