Rushtu really blew it for Turkey and then gets an assist! Crazy game.

Rustu made a mistake, but besides that he posts a pretty fantastic game. The direct kick save was class along with many solid saves. And what better a way to earn respect back then setting up a literally last second goal...My vote is for Turkey in the shootout.

What a shootout. Bad luck for Croatia but Turkey were flawless. Rustu was class guessing right every single time and posting the winning save. Great stuff. How will they favor against Germany?

I had a feeling Petric would go that way, just as he looked up his eyes darted to the right side of the goal and Rustu dived and saved it well.

They are royally screwed. Between injuries and suspensions for accumulated cards they literally will have trouble fielding enough players.

Too bad really because they have been awesome to watch..they have pulled off some unbelievable comebacks!

Germany will do what they have to do and exploit their weaknesses and get the job done. I think we will have a Netherlands (or Spain) v. Germany final. Which would be pretty good.

I can see that. The only possibility Turkey has is Volkan if he is allowed to play. Their field players will have to be both very lucky as well as careful to keep the game close.

Well it seems that both goalkeepers played poorly in the first semi-final.

Lehmann looked like he was drunk...not like the number one goalkeeper for a european powerhouse.

Rushtu was at fault for Germany's second goal coming way to far out only to have Klose power a header into an empty net.

It was in the end a great game, except for the dropped satellite feed and the poor goalkeeping.

Lehmann should have had both of Turkey's goals. I loved Tommy Smyth's comment during the halftime commentary when he said that he could have done a better job on that first goal. I was watching the game with my sister, and she said that although she doesn't know anything about goalkeeping, she knew that Lehmann did a poor job at defending both goals.

Here's to tomorrow's semifinal and better goalkeeping.

I thought the dropped Satellite feed was just in South Africa, glad my first world buddies also experience

technical glitches Big Smile

Lehman was pretty poor on 2 of the goals and Rustu should never have come that far for the cross. It's a pity that Volkan

got that stupid red for the Turks, he was having a great tourney up until that point !

Tonight should also show some good keeping, I really rate Akinfeev of Russia, he looks a very competent keeper,

and of course Casillas, who I think is brilliant.

Yep i tell my GK's never to go onto there knees untill the ball is in there hands.

I think he should have attacked the ball and tried to smother it.

Has Lehmann also got his eyes closed in that picture???

Dida still needs a team! lol

Why be negative when you can be Positive? Beats me!

Keepers are criticised and praised, its the keepers choice to decide what to listen to.

He seems to critisize every move Lehman makes, Lehman did well to turn the free kick over, and had adopted

a positive starting position I reckon. Also he did well to push away a corner, and they critised that. He fielded a couple of

shots well.

Probably could of done better on first goal, but not much chance from that range, second goal something wasnt right agree there. Think hes performing ok on the whole, he shanked a goal kick first half which I apprecaitedStick out tongue

Here in the States we have Tommy "have another drink" Smith and now Andy "at least I'm not Tommy" Gray.  Tommy is one of the worst commentators ever and has the amazing ability to see fouls even when the super slow mo replay shows the player taking a dive.  Andy is better but obviously has little to no respect for keepers as he hammers every keeper the punches the ball instead of catching it

They arent the greatest to say the least but they are at times entertaining, Andy Gray was a striker and you can hear that in his commentary. I will have to say they are better than what we had to deal with during the WC06, Marcelo balboa was awful he is consatntly yapping about everything but the game. But lets put it this way at least we can watch the games here in the states without buying them on ppv like we had to do in 2004.
