CUT: Nike's Grip 3 cut

FIT: Very good but the forefinger and pinky and kinda pulled out to the side so i have to clench my hands every now and then to make sure my fingers are at the end.

LATEX:

Nike's 3mm super soft latex

FEATURES: Nike's grip 3 cut.
                  Ventilated mesh backhand
                  Wrapped thumb
                  Wrapped pinky and forefinger
AVAILABILITY: JJB, Sports-Direct, Kitbag, Great save, Just keepers and many more

PRICE: I got mine for 10 pounds in a sale at my local JJB, most places sell them for around 20 pounds.

Review:
Really comfortable and ventilated with superb grip in both wet and dry, the grip was so tacky (sticky) one dampened. The durablity was very impressive as i play on some very dry pitches where the goalmouth is like a desert.

DURABILITY:  Fantastic! I have played the majority of my season with these gloves and there are areas at the bottom of the palm from where i have slid on my hands. And a few bits of wear on the fingers from throwing.

SUMMARY: These glove are fantastic for the price I got them and i would be happy paying 20 pounds for a pair of these gloves.

PROS:
Good grip in wet and dry
         Ventilated
         Nice Cut
         Good shock absorption

CONS:
Forefinger and pinky are angled out making it harder to get fingers at the end.
         Has been some finger twisting.

RATINGS:

Dry: 4.5

Wet: 4

Durability: 4

Fit: 3.5 Let down by forefinger and pinky

Cosmetics: 5 (have colored the white bits on mine black)

Value: 5

Overall: 4.5

They are a steal at the price i got them at, i would recommend these gloves to all.

Hi Props,

Based on the price, availability and the latex, I take it you're talking about the Nike Grip III (an intermediate model using 3mm SS latex) instead of the Vapor Grip III, which is the top end model with 4mm contact foam and is probably available for a price of closer to 30 quid?

If it is the Grip III SS model, I'm glad it has performed so well for you. Might give it a go someday.

I had a pair and they were great BUT they died very suddenly about a month or so after i 1st used them.

D

Dida still needs a team! lol

Why be negative when you can be Positive? Beats me!

Keepers are criticised and praised, its the keepers choice to decide what to listen to.

I just bought one and i feel that the pinky is being pulled backwards and outwrds, making it very hard to catch. isit supposed to be like that

Yeah it's like that on my gloves, I think it's to offer greater catching area.

i wouldn't bother, even permanent marker doesn't dry properly, smudges and goes all blue eventually.

Agreed mate. Some of the bluish/purplish stains you see on these pics are from the marker ink, trust me, I've done it before haha, and I belief Rich had a pair of 'Black Marker SMU' Serie As as well right?

I did it to a few gloves and the palms are now a deep blue even after washing. And you have to keep doing it after every wash! Did get some great results with a pair of Durasoft Guards though.
