I just got these for the upcoming winter futsal season. They are pretty sweet. This is my first pair of fingerless gloves.

Futsal (Futebol de Salao) is the FIFA officially recognized form of indoor soccer played on a hard floor court like a basketball court. It is also called 5 a side. It is played with a size 4 low bounce ball. Goalkeepers use fingerless gloves because it allows them to roll and throw the ball more accurately into tight spaces. I played last year with regular gloves and I definitely had problems giving the ball away, so I want to try these fingerless ones this year. They were really cheap and they fit well.

Nevermind I'm an idiot...I've played it....I just forgot that it's called futsal in other places as opposed to indoor soccer in America...cause we're backwards. lol.

Don't be humiliated. I mean technically futsal IS "indoor soccer". Except most people in the US and elsewhere on the continent know indoor soccer as played with hockey style boards surrounding the field. I've played that as well but I think it sucks for keepers. Tiny penalty area and the pinball aspect of the game is a nightmare. That's why I prefer futsal.

On the plus side of indoor I've always had good reflex abilities and this really makes them a lot bettern as well as improving your footwork and distribution which Futsal does as well. And helps you in scrambling situations where you have to make like 4 or 5 saves in like a very small amount of time but I've wanted to play Futsal but there isn't a league that I know of in Northern California, but maybe in time.

I wore Excel Absolutgrips last season of indoor and had no problems with my disposal of the ball. even with a low bounce ball.

Yeah I used regular gloves last year as well. I didn't really have any problems but I thought I would try these out. I may end up switching back to regular gloves if I don't like the fingerless ones.

I was looking around for those Nike gloves. Only found them in the UK though. If you don't have knee pads, get them or wear pants with decent knee padding. Don't worry about catching so much as making the save by deflecting and be sure to use your legs for kick saves too.

No need for pants with decent knee padding, I played on astroturf every week that was almost worn through to the concrete underneath in some parts with tracksuit pants on. Just avoid landing on your knees, but you will get sore spots from landing. I also have an Adidas United jersye that I use because of the extensive elbow padding. Also, keep your keeping shirt tucked in so that it doesnt uncover your skin while diving, that is never fun when that happens

I think the Futsal Dilly will be playing is on either a hard wood floor, or tile, so I think some sort of padding would help.
