I would go for the Schumachers first (second row, far right), followed by the first ever rollfinger, the International.

Red/White Schmeichel Personals for me.

Imagine if Reusch re-released these as a Limited Edition, with maybe a few 2008 tweeks ala Selsport Wrappa, they would sell like the preverbial hot cakes!!!

Didn't someone @ TGBwrite a letter awhile back to Reusch (or was it Uhlsport) to implore them there was a market for the styles of yore?  If we sent PS' pix + all these accompanying adorations as a petition of sorts, maybe das torwarthandshuh-meisters would realize as much & do something for "us."  The more I think about it,  i.e., the "couture sneaker" market, etc., glove companies would be interested.  But then again, I think about the economy and maybe they wouldn't...

it was i who sent Reusch an email asking them to rerelease the Pfaff glove. Unfortunately they did not have the decency to reply.

Perhaps members should bombard them with requests, then just maybe they will take it seriously, who knows?

Its not where your from, its where your at!

Several of us have contacted Reusch, Uhlsport and adidas to suggest "retro" looked gloves with modern conviencences (bandage wrist, contemporary latex, etc...) and have generally received responses that they do not plan to.  The makers feel it would be a step backward vs. focusing on future products.

Fantastic collection.  Do you only collect Reusch?

Right kids, a question - If you could have one pair of gloves from that collection (brand new, for actual use in matches), what would you go for?  I think I'd have the all-white schmichel glove (the one that's been signed on packetschmichel's picture)

I collect almost exclusively Reusch, although I've had to stop myself tracking down old Uhlsports from the brief Shilton-inspired period I went through as a teenager and Sondicos from a slightly later Southall fixation. There has to be a line drawn somewhere.

Great question on the favourite. Have to pick five pairs though:

(row 2, glove 3) 88/89 Reusch Woods Euro if you got 'em from Sukan but this pair's the 023 from Germany. The classic pink and blue!

(row 7, glove 2) 93/94 Schmeichel Personal (even though these were destined for Basti Selke). Reusch got their money's worth from Peter.

(row 9, glove 2) 94/95 The original Windstopper. Fantastic fit, feel and appearance. They even made Ogrizovic look stylish.

(row 14, glove 2 & 3) 96/97 Pro Arrow as seen at Euro 96. So simple but a real icon. The Maier pair are size 11 at least and feel massive.

(last row, last glove) 98/99 Duo ProTech pimped by Basti Selke in 2007 with a bandage wrist and latex strap. Got six pairs! I love the Duo idea and you wouldn't think they were ten years old the way they grip.

With the exception of the 98 World Keeper, I think Reusch started down a slippery slope after that golden ten year period and ended up with its current pretty anonymous look. I wonder how many really young goalies are inspired by their designs like some of us were? Who wears Reusch these days anyway?

Stunning, simply stunning some really took me back, I had a clear out of some of my photos from my collection from around 1993, whish i saved them to post on here.

Some of the Budesliga models are the pinnacle in my eyes of what a glove should be. Simple, good feel, excellent feel, outstanding grip, gloves today are just gimmicky, the companies are just trying to find the "new thing" and are going away from what a keeper need gloves for,  when the new reusch range would come out there would be a change in colour for an endorssed keeper and the odd new development but the core of the range would be the same, but all quality gloves, todays gloves look like they would be better fo riding motorbikes not catching a ball.

Forgot to say the very 1st pair were my 1st "real gloves", cost about £12 if I recall. Favourite of the collection(only because of prsonal use) 12th row, middle glove. Wore the same model for a full season.Quality
