Hi everyone...its seems a long while since i have posted an update on D-FLEKT here on TGB.
I am today posting some sad news.
After much thought i have decided to end my D-FLEKT project due to personal reasons and commitments. Its a step that i have not taken lightly as i have given up so much of my time to the project.
I wish to thank everyone here on the glove bag for your support which you have shown me from the very start to the very end of my project. I have tried to take everything on board that has been said as i do believe its so very important to listen to the people who will wear your products!
It will definately not be the end of my participation here on TGB as goalkeeping and goalkeeper gloves will still continue to be a big part of my life.
I do have another option open to me which i expect to bring you news of shortly.
Until then all the best to all of you TGB'ers!
Thomas
Sorry to hear that Thomas, was looking forward to new releases in the D-Flekt range for the coming season. Sad to hear you decided to end with D-Flekt, but you made us all curious (I'm pretty sure) about that other option
Really sorry to hear this Thomas as your products & customer service were exceptional. Also i was really looking forward to trying the Hybrid cut you were working on. Hope you carry this forward with your new venture.
Best of luck for the future.
Its not where your from, its where your at!
Hope you join forces with one of the other companies, you had some great backhand designs + colourways, they would boost any product. All the best mate
the aquastar was a superb glove. i wish you all the best with any future projects Thomas.
Hope to have you back soon mate. Think positive!
Dida still needs a team! lol
Why be negative when you can be Positive? Beats me!
Keepers are criticised and praised, its the keepers choice to decide what to listen to.
All the best Thomas!!!
All the best Thomas, im sure everything will work out for the best.
UEFA 'B' Licence Goalkeeper Coach
I would just like to say how touched i am with all the messages and emails i received from so many of TGB members. They mean alot to me and have made the work i have done with my D-FLEKT project all worth while. I would also say how nice it was to receive kind messages from other glove brands just proving what a great community spirit we have here on theglovebag even when you are competing in the same market! :-)
As i mentioned in my initial post i had another option open to myself which would allow me to keep my passion with goalkeeper equipment alive. I am pleased to say that i will be helping Kenny Arthur to promote his KA Goalkeeping brand and hopefully help him as best i can to push his great brand onwards and upwards. It was clear after talking to Kenny that he has some great things lined up for the future proving there is some exciting times ahead for the brand!
Thanks
That is great news. A quality product and two quality people.
Excellent news. The 2 most consumer friendly people (companies) i have ever purchased from (Both have gone out of the way to help me) teaming up to form a superbrand. Exciting times indeed, can't wait to see and use the results.
Good luck to you both.
Thanks for that Nathan - much appreciated :-)
Can i just reiterate i am only helping Kenny to promote his brand in a non financial position. The two companies have not merged together. It is Kennys brand and he will always have the final say on what happens. I am just pleased to help when i can.
Nico, I thought you were going to buy Adidas and produce some good gloves for us!
Serious though, glad your sticking around. Always been a pleasure to read your posts and speak to you too, top bloke.
Sorry to hear about the end of D-FLEKT Nico, but may you and Kenny aspire to awesome greatness with KA Goalkeeping (which shouldn't be hard ;D ).
I have to say its brilliant having Thomas on board. I think everyone would agree his glove design skills are fantastic. I'm so excited about working with him as his passion for goalkeeping is brilliant.
Definately a case of TGB magic at work, as if it wasn't for the site we wouldn't have had the opportunity to team up.
