Well I am back from some time off and ready to get back to work. The time
away was good for me physically and mentally, I needed a rest. Now that I am
refreshed it is time to get back at it. Yesterday I started working with
some new strength coaches at a new workout facility that I was told about. I
went over last week and visited with trainers there. It is an amazing place.
They even have a sand pit that they will have me do some work in at times.
So yesterday I had my first workout with them. It was great. Everything will
be geared toward my goalkeeping movements. A lot of footwork, plyo's, and
explosive exercises. I will return to them on Thursday. For now I will
train with them 2 days a week and do two light days on my own. The 2 days on my
own will be simple light weights. We don't want to overdue it right now. I
am feeling really good so we just want to maintain my fitness for now. I
won't start training again until January. That is plenty of time to get sharp
before preseason starts in Feb. At this point I have to make sure that I
don't over train. It is hard for me to take it slow sometimes, lol. I think
we have a great game plan set up for me to be sharp and hungry come the start
of preseason.

Well the soccer world has been busy the past few weeks. Somehow the US Soccer Fed. lost Klinsmann. That was very disappointing. Nothing against Bob Bradley, he is a great coach but when you have the chance to get Klinsmann, you better. He would have been great for the young players.

In the MLS world things are starting to heat up as well. Joe Cannon was
traded to the Galaxy. That move caught everyone off guard. Joe is now
reunited with his old coach from San Jose. I think this is great for Joe. He had
his best years under Yallop in San Jose. Look for Joe to have a great season.
With this trade though Kevin Hartman becomes the old man out in LA. It
will be interesting to see if Kevin stays there and fights it out or if he is
moved. Kansas City needs a gk since they didn't sign Bo back. Also last
night Freddy Adu and Nick Rimando got traded to Salt Lake. This one is
interesting to me because Scott Garlick is the starter in Salt Lake. Well the
wheeling and dealing has started, only time will tell what happens next.
Until next time.
